2026 Spring Shows | LTS Registration
Ames Figure Skating is proud to present the 33rd Annual Spring Show featuring the theme “Skate”. Skaters will have the option to sign up for one or two group numbers plus the option to participate in the Parent & Child number.

Learn to Skate Group Registration Options & Fees
- Single Group Number – $50
- Two Group Numbers – $75
Additional Option: Family/Skater – $50
- Open to any family member aged 16 and older.
- Safety note: If a participant has not skated in the past nine months, they are highly encouraged to register for a Learn to Skate class prior to the show.
- Child skater requirement: The child’s skating level must be a minimum of Basic 6.

Registration fees & costume deposit are non-refundable.

Costumes:
- A $25 costume deposit is required at the time of registration.
- Costumes generally range from $30 to $75+ per number and will be selected by the Show Committee.
- The remaining balance will be due upon delivery.
- Once costumes are ordered, they cannot be returned or refunded.
- Tickets:
- Each family is required to purchase a minimum of 6 tickets at the time of registration.

Ticket pricing:
- Adults & children ages 5+: $10 each
- Senior citizens (60+): $5 at the door
- Students (with ID): $5 at the door
- Tickets may be resold if you cannot use them.
- Each registered skater will receive one VIP ticket, which grants a guardian of the same gender as the skater access to both performances to assist with costume changes.
- Additional discounted tickets can be purchased for $10 each up until one week before the show.
Practice Schedule & Requirements

Group Practice Sessions
- Each group number will have a minimum of three (3) practice sessions, lasting 30–45 minutes each.

Most practices will be scheduled:
- Weekdays: Starting at 5:00 PM or later
- Saturdays: After Club Ice and LTS
- Sundays: In the morning

Mandatory Rehearsals
- ALL REHEARSALS ARE MANDATORY!

If you miss one rehearsal for a number and wish to remain in that number, you must:
- Notify both the coach choreographing the number and one of the Show Chairs before the rehearsal.
- Arrange and pay for a private lesson with the coach to learn the missed material.

If you miss more than one rehearsal for any number, you may be removed from that number.
- Important: Even if you are removed from a number, you are still responsible for the costume cost.

Spring Show Week Requirements

Show Run-Throughs:
- All skaters are required to attend run-through rehearsals from Monday through Wednesday.
- Skaters must remain at the run-through until dismissed by the Show Director or a Show Committee member.
- You will be notified if your group is not required at a particular rehearsal.

Dress Rehearsal:
- Friday of Show Week will be the official dress rehearsal.
- Skaters are required to arrive in full costume.

Official Schedule
- A detailed practice and rehearsal schedule will be provided to all registered skaters.
Costume Measurements
Costume measurements will be taken after the registration period closes. Please watch your email for additional communications regarding measurement dates and times.
* Measurements will be scheduled early to help avoid potential supply chain and delivery delays and to ensure costumes arrive on time for the show picture day. *
Volunteer Information
The Ames Figure Skating Club relies on the generous support of volunteers to make our events, including the Spring Ice Show, a success.
While volunteering is not required, we greatly welcome and appreciate any help you can offer. If you're interested, a family member may choose to join one of the show committees to assist with various aspects of production.
