What to Expect at an ACU Prospect Camp
Each camp includes a pro-style workout designed to give our coaching staff a complete evaluation. Position players will go through the 60-yard dash, defensive evaluations at their prospective position, on field batting practice, offensive metrics (via trackman), vertical jump testing, and more.n addition, all athletes will take part in a facility tour led by current ACU Baseball players, giving you the chance to learn more about our setup and ask questions directly to student-athletes who live the ACU experience every day.
Pitchers will throw a 12 - 15 pitch bullpen on Trackman, go through our pre-throw and post-throw routines, vertical and broad jump testing, and receive all pitching metrics from Trackman. Pitchers will also be taken on a short campus tour visiting our weight room, and baseball facilities ending with a in depth pitching talk and Q/A.
Necessary Equipment:
Bat, Glove, Baseball Pants, Hat, Helmet, Sunscreen, Catchers should bring their own gear, cleats, please label own equipment, bring anything that you would bring to a baseball practice.
*Our complex is all turf, therefore, we ask that you please bring both turfs and cleats. While on the field you are allowed to wear cleats; however, in our indoor, we respectfully ask that you wear flats, turfs or molds.
