Winter One-Day Prospect Camp

No Walk-Up Registrations Will Be Allowed

Camp Schedule
Registration will take place right inside of the Kelly Family Sports Center. Campers will go through a pro-style work out, receive instruction from the Grand Valley Coaching staff and members of the current roster. Camp will also include a tour of GVSU’s athletic facilities. There will be separate check-in times for position players and pitchers, the full schedule and check-in times will be sent out the week prior to camp.  

What to Bring
Tennis/Turf Shoes (No Metal Cleats!), baseball glove, hat, pants, bat, batting helmets, lunch, personal water bottle, and catching gear, or any other desired piece of equipment. Camp shirts will be provided.

Camp Site
The camp will be held at the Kelly Family Sports Center on GVSU's Allendale Campus. The $18 million facility is located just beyond the baseball fields right field wall.

The GVSU Baseball Program
The GVSU baseball program has established itself as one of the premiere programs in NCAA Division II. The Lakers concluded the 2025 season with a 43-14 overall record and were ranked inside the Top 25 National rankings for majority of the year. Additionally, GVSU hosted the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament and were semifinalists. In 2024, the Lakers took home the GLIAC Conference Tournament Championship and made a NCAA Division II regional appearance. The Laker’s were the 2016 Co-Conference Champions and the 2013 team finished 3rd at the Division II World Series in addition to winning the GLIAC championship. The 2012 Lakers won the GLIAC regular season and tournament and were NCAA Regional semifinalists. In 2011, Grand Valley was the GLIAC champion and advanced to the Division II World Series. With a 52-5 record the Lakers spent most of the season ranked #1 in NCAA DII. In 2009, the Lakers were ranked #1 for several weeks, and in 2007 and 2008, GVSU was ranked as high as #3 in the country. Since 2003, GVSU has won ten GLIAC conference championships. The Lakers have been in ten regional championship games, winning six of them advancing to the NCAA Division II World Series with national finishes of third in 2013, seventh in 2011 & 2009, fourth in 2005, second in 2004, and fifth in 2003.

Cancellation/Transfer Policy
Camp fee minus an administrative fee of $40 will be refunded if cancel outside of 2 weeks prior to camp. No refunds or transfers within 14 days of the camp unless for medical reasons, for which a physician’s note must accompany request. No refunds or transfers within 72 hours of camp.
