SCHEDULE
Morning Session: Defensive Skills Development
- 8:45 AM - 9:00 AM | Warm-Up Routine
Participants will engage in a comprehensive warm- up that includes jogging, stretching, and throwing exercises to prepare for the day’s activities.
- 9:00 AM - 9:30 AM | Throwing Progression
This segment focuses on enhancing throwing mechanics through a structured progression, emphasizing accuracy, arm strength, and overall technique.
- 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM I Specialized Position Training
Athletes will be divided into specific groups: pitchers, catchers, infielders, and outfielders. Each group will receive targeted instruction tailored to their position, focusing on skills development and situational awareness.
- 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM | Snack Break
Mid-Afternoon Session: Offensive Skills Enhancement
- 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM | Comprehensive Offensive Drills
Exit Velocity Measurement: Participants will track their exit velocity numbers to assess their hitting power.
Baserunning Metrics: Athletes will engage in drills designed to improve speed and efficiency on the bases.
Tee Work: Athletes will refine their hitting skills using batting tees to focus on swing mechanics.
Side Toss Machine Timing: Utilizing three soft toss machines, participants will practice timing and hand-eye coordination.
Bunting Techniques- Instruction on effective bunting strategies will be provided.
Live On-Field Cuts: Athletes will practice live cuts to simulate game situations and enhance decision-making skills.
- 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM | Lunch Break
Evening Session: Evaluation Game and Strategy Workshop
- 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM | Scrimmage and Strategy Session
Participants will engage in a scrimmage against fellow campers to apply the skills learned throughout the day in a competitive environment.
During the scrimmage, a classroom session will utilize Synergy software to analyze gameplay, discussing strategies and tactics for effectively competing against opponents. This will provide campers with valuable insights into game preparation and strategy development.
