2026 PITCHER AND CATCHER CAMP
The Samford University baseball program would like to officially invite you to our Samford Baseball Winter Pitcher + Catcher Camp for an opportunity to develop your skills and prepare for the upcoming spring season.
The camp is designed for both high school pitchers and catchers interested in continuing their development this winter. Instruction is led by Samford pitching coach Tyler Shrout and Samford catching coach Gil Walker, as well as a number of current Bulldog players.

COST: $159
($159 + $9 Fee) |
LOCATION: Samford's Haywood Field House is located on the hill behind right field.
PITCHER CAMP DETAILS:
- Pitchers will throw bullpens to be evaluated.
- Pitchers will receive instructions on Samford’s Warm Up to Throw Routine, Long Toss Program, Mechanical Drill Work, and Weighted Ball Program.
- Pitchers will receive a talk on our Strength Program by Samford’s Strength Staff.
CATCHER CAMP DETAILS:
- Catchers will catch live bullpens and throw to bases to be evaluated.
- Catchers will receive instructions on blocking, receiving, and throwing drills.
- Catchers will hit in cages.
- Catchers will receive a talk on our Weight Lifting Program by Samford’s Strength Staff.
MORE CAMP DETAILS:
- Campus Tour provided at the end of camp
- Please wear your high school hat. Baseball pants are optional.
- Please bring athletic shoes and cleats.
- Please be prepared to go outside weather permitting.
