What Is TransferU?

TransferU is a trusted, relationship-driven platform created to guide college softball athletes through one of the most stressful moments of their careers: the transfer portal. Built on years of experience, deep connections, and a genuine passion for helping athletes, TransferU gives players the visibility, support, and structure they need to find their next home.

TransferU was founded by two respected leaders in softball recruiting: Christina Wiley, founder of Her Dream Exposure and Recruiting, and Iver Robinson, owner of McDonald Fastpitch Consulting and McDonald Fastpitch Camps. Both have spent years mentoring high school athletes, preparing them mentally, physically, and academically for the next level. After watching thousands of athletes struggle through the transfer process without guidance, they came together to build a solution.

Why TransferU Exists

Every year, between 1,700 and 2,000 Division I and II softball players enter the transfer portal. Only about 500 find a new home. Nearly half stop playing altogether. JUCO athletes face even tougher odds, often lacking visibility or a straightforward path to four-year programs.

At the same time, college coaches reach out to Christina and Iver daily looking for athletes who can fill open roster spots.

The talent is there.

The opportunities are there.

What’s missing is the connection.

TransferU was created to bridge that gap.

TransferU isn’t just a list of available players. It’s a vetted, personal, relationship-based system that brings athletes and programs together with purpose. Christina and Iver have built one of the strongest networks in collegiate softball, with more than 250 college coaches across all levels.

Whether an athlete is entering the portal for the first time or looking for a better fit after a tough season, TransferU provides clarity, direction, and support at the moment they need it most.
