Discovering Ikigai: A Blue Zone Study
Discovering Ikigai: A Blue Zone Study: Adults
Join us for a unique and inspiring book study that explores Ikigai—the Japanese concept of life’s purpose—and the powerful lifestyle habits found in the world’s five Blue Zones, the regions where people live the longest, healthiest lives. Guided by Marissa Argus, ZCS educator, who recently traveled to Ogimi Village, Japan’s renowned Blue Zone, participants will dive into the research, stories, and daily practices that contribute to extraordinary well-being and longevity. Through engaging discussions, reflective activities, and real-world insights, you’ll learn about folks around the world living with greater purpose, balance, and joy. Whether you’re an educator, parent, or lifelong learner, this study offers a meaningful opportunity to explore how small, intentional changes—rooted in global wisdom—can enrich your personal and professional life. Come discover your ikigai and connect with a community of learners ready to grow, reflect, and be inspired. Participants will need the following books: 1. Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life by Francesc Miralles and Hector Garcia 2. The Blue Zones Secrets for Living Longer: Lessons from the Healthiest Places on Earth by Dan Buettner
