Let us help prepare your team for the upcoming school season through an immersive, high-energy team camp designed to build connection, confidence, and cohesion.
After a highly successful inaugural year in 2025, we are excited to bring this camp back in 2026. Last summer highlighted the value of bringing teams together after a long break — reconnecting athletes, re-establishing team identity, and creating momentum heading into the fall season.
This overnight team camp blends intentional team building, individual skill development, and tactical team learning with an emphasis on school-season readiness. Teams will train, compete, and live together, strengthening relationships on and off the field while benefiting from exceptional coaching and engaging, creative team-building activities that sparked energy, laughter, and lasting memories in 2025. These shared experiences built trust, communication, and creativity — foundations for strong team chemistry entering the season.
Teams and coaches will stay overnight in on-campus dorms alongside their teammates, creating a residential experience that enhances connection and unity.
Each camper will receive a reversible (double-sided) pinnie to use throughout the camp.
This camp is ideal for programs looking to build chemistry, sharpen team play, and enter the season prepared and connected. We look forward to continuing to grow this camp and welcoming new teams into an experience that made a meaningful impact in its first year.
Location: Kentner Stadium and Water tower turf fields (water based turf and field turf surfaces), Football indoor as a backup for bad weather.
1930 Wake Forest Road
Winston-Salem, NC 27109
What to bring:
- Twin XL sheets, pillow, blanket or sleeping bag, towel for shower, water, snacks (mini fridge in room), turf shoes or sneakers (NO CLEATS OR SPIKES ALLOWED), stick, shin guards, GKs must bring their own equipment.
-
Additional information:
- For the safety and well-being of all athletes, we strongly encourage each team to roster a minimum of 14 players. This allows for proper 11v11 play and sufficient substitutions to manage workload and heat safely throughout the camp.
- There will be no cap on the maximum number of players per team; however, coaches should be mindful of roster management and playing time during matches. Teams that are able to field two squads are welcome to do so, and we will work with coaches in advance to ensure scheduling accommodates multiple teams from the same program when match schedules are created.
- Each team must be accompanied by at least one coach (maximum of two). Coaches will stay in the dorms near their team to serve as supervisors throughout the overnight experience.
- New for this year, individual athlete registration will be available. This option allows teams to be supplemented when needed and enables individual players to be grouped together or placed with school teams for match play, providing flexibility while maintaining competitive balance and safety.
- Food allergies or specific medical conditions should be communicated with us as well, we can accommodate most needs that we are informed about ahead of time.
Camp Staff: Wake Forest Field Hockey staff (Jen Averill, Jackie Briggs, Pietie Coetzee-Turner, Roxy Coetzee-Turner), and a few outside coaches to help facilitate, and current student athletes will be with each team as a liaison.
Refund Policy:
Due to months of preparation involved in organizing coaching staff, securing accommodations, and arranging meals, we have established the following policies:
If the camp or clinic is canceled:
A full refund will be issued minus the registration fee.
This policy applies only to registrants who do not purchase insurance.
Camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender).
