2026 Wildcat Baseball Youth Experience Camps

Join us for an exciting three-day Youth Baseball Camp at Northwestern University, where young athletes will have the opportunity to develop their skills alongside our coaching staff and players. This camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game through hands-on instruction, position-specific training, and competitive gameplay — all in a fun and energetic environment.

Campers will be grouped by age and skill level to ensure appropriate instruction and maximum development.

Daily Skill Development & Activities

Functional Catch
Campers will go through structured catch play that integrates fundamental movements for each position — including double play turns, relay throws, fielding ground balls, fly ball communication, and more.

Infield Stations
We’ll break down infield fundamentals and build up to more advanced skills like turning double plays, making diving stops, and executing both forehand and backhand plays.

Pitching & Catching
Pitchers will throw bullpens, with focused instruction provided to both groups. Emphasis will be placed on mechanics, pitch grips, and game awareness.

Hitting Stations
We’ll rotate through a variety of hitting stations — tee work, front toss, machine work, and live BP — focusing on swing mechanics, contact quality, and approach at the plate.

Games & Scrimmages
Campers will compete in fun, instructional games. We’ll finish each day with coach-pitched scrimmages.

• 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM | Functional Catch Play
• 10:00 AM - 10:10 AM | Water Break
• 10:10 AM - 11:00 AM | Defensive Fundamentals
• 11:00 AM - 11:10 AM | Water Break
• 11:10 AM - 12:00 PM | Offensive Fundamentals
• 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM | Lunch Break
• 12:35 PM - 1:20 PM | Scrimmages & Competitive Games
• 1:20 PM - 1:30 PM | Camp Wrap-Up & Pick-Up

Location

Camps will be held at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park, home of Northwestern Baseball. Directions and parking information are available on our camp website.

Important Notes

• Ages: 6–13 years old
• What to Bring: Baseball glove, bat, helmet, cleats, turf/running shoes, baseball pants, hat, belt, socks, sunscreen, lunch, snacks, and water.
• Supervision: Certified athletic staff will be on-site at all times.

Lunch Options

Campers may bring their own lunch or purchase one for $15 (includes pepperoni or cheese pizza, chips, and water).
