2026 Nelson High School Camps

Majors Camp

The Majors Camp is designed for players who are ready to take the next step beyond youth baseball and begin preparing for the expectations of competitive high school—and eventually college—baseball.

Under the direction of Coach Flynn and Coach Meuel, his staff, and current players, campers will participate in structured, high-level practices modeled directly after the practice plans used with his college teams and the Nelson High School program. Each day is carefully organized to maximize instruction, repetitions, and individual attention.

Campers will receive instruction in all aspects of the game, including:

• Offensive and defensive team drills
• Advanced infield instruction
• Individual position-specific work (Middle Infielders, Corners, Catchers, Pitchers, Outfielders)
• Hitting instruction and practice
• Baserunning fundamentals and practice

Each day concludes with a controlled pitching-machine scrimmage, allowing players to apply what they’ve learned in game-like situations while maximizing involvement and minimizing downtime.

As part of the camp experience, each camper will receive an individual evaluation from a member of the coaching staff outlining strengths as well as areas for continued development.

The Majors Camp provides future Hawks with an early look at the work ethic, structure, and expectations of the Nelson High School program. It was also developed for longtime Flynn Baseball Camps participants who have recently aged out of our youth programs, offering advanced instruction and meaningful feedback as they transition into the next phase of their baseball development, no matter where they intend to go to high school.

What To Bring

• Baseball glove, bat, water bottle, helmet (optional)
• Please mark all bats, gloves and batting gloves for identification.

Lunch

• Sack lunch and water bottles (marked with name)

It is vitally important in this atmosphere to hire enough coaches to keep groups small, there are no refunds.  Consequently we strongly urge people to take advantage of the camp insurance option.
