SMC Summer Tennis Camps are a great combination of athletics and FUN! It covers all aspects of tennis including skill development, match strategy, competition and mechanics. Each athlete will have the opportunity to develop their skills through individual and group instruction, a variety of drills, games, and match play.
Saint Mary's College is very fortunate to have some of the finest collegiate coaches in Northern California. Head Women's Coach Kat Winterhalter selects and trains her staff, composed of top-level coaches and collegiate players. All instructors have been chosen for their extensive knowledge of tennis and their enthusiasm to work with children and young athletes.
SMC Tennis camps will be directed and coached by SMC Tennis Coach Kat Winterhalter. Camps will focus on all aspects of tennis: stroke production, skill development, match play, strategy, footwork, and FUN!!
Each Day of Summer Sessions, we will focus on 4 Major Areas of Tennis Player Development:
- Technical: Through individual stroke development process
- Physical: Through tennis specific fitness drills
- Tactical: Through drill situations and point play
- Mental: Through guided mindset during match play
Additional Information:
- No more than 6:1 coach to player ratio during drilling
What To Bring:
- Tennis Racquet
- Non-marking tennis court shoes
- Water Bottle (water will be available at the courts for refills)
- Sunscreen
- Hat or visor (optional)
- Snacks
- Any required medication
All Saint Mary’s Athletic camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
