Seahawk Boys Soccer Goalkeeping Academy

Specialized Goalkeeper training is offered in conjunction with the Residential Camp, with separate Goalkeeper specific training times. Training focuses on all aspects of GK development. Training is intense, focused, disciplined, challenging, yet fun! This rigorous program is for the serious competitive goalkeeper!

UNCW is well known for producing talented goalkeepers with many continuing to the pro ranks. Our most recent professionals signees were Jacob Randolph (Sacramento Republic, USL Championship) and Gabriel Perrotta (formerly Pittsburgh Riverhounds). Former Hall of Famer Brad Knighton recently retired after a 16-year career in MLS with New England Revolution, Vancouver Whitecaps and Philadelphia Union. Other Seahawk notables include Brandon Miller, former USL Goalkeeper of the Year with Rochester Rhinos, who earned a scholarship at UNCW following his performances at Seahawk Soccer Camp! Former Seahawk Sean Melvin played for the full Canadian National team and still plays for Pacific FC in the Canadian Premier League.  

Come and train with the Seahawks! 

For those who wish to train and play at an advanced level! Seahawk Goalkeeper Academy incorporates challenging training sessions, high level evening games, evaluation and discussion with staff coaches. The emphasis will be more on tactical understanding and development, roles and functions of positions.

Spaces will be limited, so be sure to sign up early! Spend time on campus and train like a college player!

Goalkeepers will be assigned to teams to play in the evening games and get game experience.
