Event Description

Grand Valley State Men's Basketball Camps

Middle School Camp

Fundamental skill work and improvement are the focus of our middle school camp. Our staff has found that attention to the details of the game at this age group is vital in preparing for a successful career in middle school basketball and into the high school levels. Our goal is to provide this age group with programming that teaches the game of basketball in a way that is fun, competitive, and lasting – tools each camper can take away to work on for the rest of the summer. This  camp will teach basketball through skill work, small group work, competitive contests, drills, and 5-on-5 games. The GVSU men’s basketball staff and players will be the primary instructors for this camp.

Cost:
Overnight Camper | $299.50 ($285 + $14.50 Fees)
Commuter Camper with Meals | $241.50 ($220 + $11.50 Fees)
Commuter Camper No Meals | $194.50 ($175 + $9.50 Fees)

Campers save $10 when registering before April 15th

Includes Camp T-Shirt and a GVSU Basketball

Sunday, June 28 

  • 12:30-2:00PM - Overnight Camper Check-In (HHLC) 
  • 1:30-2:00PM - Commuter Camper Check-In (Fieldhouse) 
  • 2:30PM - Session 1 
  • 5:00PM - Dinner in Fieldhouse 
  • 6:30PM - Session 2 
  • 7:30PM - Optional Swimming or Skill Work 
  • 8:30PM - Commuting Camper Pick-Up/Overnight Campers to Dorm 
  • 9:30PM - Overnight Camper Meeting at Holton-Hooker 
  • 10:00PM - In your own dorm room 
  • 10:30PM - Lights Out 

Monday, June 29 

  • 7:30AM  - Wake-Up for Overnight Campers (Please set alarms) 
  • 8-9AM - Breakfast at Kleiner Commons
    • *Commuting Campers should drop-off at Fieldhouse Roundabout. 
    • Camp Staff will walk them to meal. 
  • 9:30AM - Session 3 
  • 12:00PM - Lunch Break 
  • 1:30PM - Session 4 
  • 5:00PM - Dinner in Fieldhouse 
  • 6:30PM - Session 5 
  • 8:30PM - Commuting Camper Pick-Up/Overnight Campers to Dorm 
  • 10:00PM - In your own dorm room 
  • 10:30PM - Lights Out 

Tuesday, June 30 

  • 7:30AM - Wake-Up for Overnight Campers (Please set alarms)
