Event Description

UTSA - Legacy CAR Summer Camp

Archaeology 101

During this week-long summer camp, children ages 9 to 12 years old will participate in outdoor and indoor activities while exploring archaeological discoveries, methods, ethics, and more.

There are two different themes for the summer camps.

  • Archaeology 101 (session 1) will introduce campers to archaeology and build on learned skills through experimental activities (like cave painting, weaving, garbology).

The camp will be held at the Center for Archaeological Research located on UTSA’s 1604 Campus, and the camp is staffed by the Center’s archaeologists, interns, and volunteers.
