Prospect ID Camps
The USM Prospect ID Camp is designed for prospective student-athletes ranging from high school freshman to junior college sophomores (junior college freshman must be academic qualifier) to showcase their abilities in front of the entire University of Southern Mississippi baseball coaching staff along with other college coaches and scouts.
Participants will be given a chance to have their skills (hitting, fielding, speed, pitching, etc.) evaluated by college coaches. Any pitcher who is a dual player will be able to participate at both positions. Approximately, 75% of past USM baseball rosters have been filled by USM camp participants.

Grades: 9th - JUCO Sophomores
Pitcher/Catcher Check-in: 9:15 AM - 10:00 AM
Other Positions Check-In: 10:45 AM - 11:45 AM
Bullpens Start Time: 10:00 AM (This includes position players who want to be evaluated in a bullpen as well)
Position Players Evals Start Time: 12:00 PM (This includes pitchers who want to be evaluated as a hitter as well)
**Position players evaluations include 60s, Def Evals, and BP. Cost: $269 per Camper (Includes T-Shirt) ($250 + $19 Fees) |
- Southern Miss coaching staff and other elite coaches in attendance to eval athlete’s skills
- All players 9th – Juco Sophomores welcome (All talent levels)
- Each camper receives a USM Camp T-shirt and insurance.
- No lunch Provided

All Southern Miss Baseball camps or clinics are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
