Proper fundamentals in shooting, passing, dribbling, lay-up’s, defense, free throws, and other basketball moves. Campers grouped according to age and ability.

1 on 1, 3 on 3, 5 on 5, and other contests.

What To Bring

• Basketball Attire - Inside Courts
• Basketball Shoes With Non-Marking Soles
• We will have a camp bank where you can deposit money to be used at our concession stand through the week.

• 9:00 AM | Roll Call / Notebook Teaching
• 9:15 AM | Starts / Stops/ Turns
• 9:35 AM | Fundamental Teaching Stations
• 11:15 AM | 1 on 1 / Contests
• 12:00 PM | Lunch (Bring your own)
• 1:00 PM | Lecture / Coachig Point
• 2:00 PM | 3 on 3 League Play
• 3:00 PM | 5 on 5 Games
• 4:00 PM | Wrap up / Camp ends

Mike Helfer, Valdosta State Head Coach

Mike Helfer has built the Valdosta State Men’s Basketball program into a powerhouse. He has led the Blazers for 21 years and has won 590 career games as a head coach. He has led VSU to 9 NCAA tournament appearances, 7 GSC championships, has won 4 GSC Coach of the Year awards, and 2 NCAA South Region Coach of the Year awards. His recipe for success on the court is also seen throughout his Summer camps!

Per NCAA rules, all sport camps and clinics conducted by Valdosta State University are open to any and all entrants and enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level, gender, or number restrictions as specified by each camp.
