Prospect Camp

at Calvin University

Pitchers Only: There will be video, technique, and drills to run through the first half of the camp.

Camp Policies

LOCATION: Calvin Baseball Field 3195 Knight Way SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546

(In-case of inclement weather: Indoor facility is available; schedule will be modified)​

SCHEDULE:

  • Registration: 8:30 - 9:00 AM
  • Welcome & introductions:  9:00 - 9:15 AM
  • Warmups & dynamics 9:15 - 9:45 AM
  • Skills testing: 9:45 AM - 12:00 PM
    • *60 time
    • *Outfield velo
    • *Infield velo + Catcher pop times
    • *Baserunning instruction 
    • *Exit velo
    • *On-Field BP
  • Lunch and Field House Tour in the VanNoord Arena: 12:00 - 12:45 PM
    • *PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH!!! DRINKS WILL BE PROVIDED BY CALVIN BASEBALL​*
    • (Check out Calvin's weight rooms, arena, training facilities, indoor practice facility, and locker room)
  • Warmup: 12:45 - 1:00 PM
  • Game: 1:00 - 3:00 PM
    • (or when scrimmage is complete)

Please Wear: Baseball attire
Please Bring: Hat, glove, cleats, turf shoes, helmet, bat, catching gear, and anything else needed to showcase your skills

Training staff will be on site throughout the day
