Event Description
OCTOBER PROSPECT CAMP
Prospect Camps are open to 2027, 2028, 2029, and 2030 graduates and incoming JUCO sophomores. The camp includes an instructional segment that provides each player with the opportunity to learn from and train with one of our coaches at their primary position. Later, position players will showcase their talents and be evaluated in a pro-style workout. The workout will include running times along with a defensive and offensive evaluation. Included in the cost, every participant will receive their measurables via email about a week after camp concludes. For an additional cost, you can receive a full evaluation report that includes a breakdown of your mechanics along with best practices moving forward in your training. You must pre-register for this add-on and expect to receive the report via email in about 4 weeks following camp. After the pro-style workout, there will be a scrimmage and SDSU athletic facility tour. A jersey will be provided for the participant to wear for the entirety of the camp but must be returned before departure.
We have three different registration options available.
The 2-Way Player option is reserved for prospects that would like to showcase their ability as a pitcher and position player. This prospect will pitch 1 inning and have the opportunity to compete at their primary position in the scrimmage.
The Position Player option is reserved for prospects that would like to showcase their ability as a position player only. They will have the opportunity to compete at their primary position in the scrimmage.
The Pitcher Only option is reserved for prospects that would like to only showcase their ability on the mound. This pitcher only will be asked to arrive later and will first hop into our instructional segment with our pitching coach, Michael Newstrom. This prospect will pitch two innings in the scrimmage.
