The Laura Harper x Ava Renninger D1 Basketball Workout

Join us for a special basketball skills workout featuring Cheltenham legend Laura Harper and Towson University standout Ava Renninger!

Open to Cheltenham School District athletes and players from the surrounding communities, this unique event gives young players the opportunity to learn from two accomplished Division I student-athletes who have excelled at the highest levels of the game.

Laura Harper returns to her alma mater after an extraordinary basketball career that began at Cheltenham High School, where she became the school's all-time leading scorer (boys or girls) with more than 2,000 career points and earned McDonald's All-American honors. She went on to star at the University of Maryland, helping lead the Terrapins to the 2006 NCAA National Championship while being named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player. Harper was selected 10th overall in the 2008 WNBA Draft before enjoying a successful professional career overseas. Now entering her fifth season as the head coach of Towson University Women's Basketball, Coach Harper has established one of the CAA's premier programs while continuing to develop championship-caliber student-athletes on and off the court.

Joining Coach Harper is Ava Renninger, a standout guard from Archbishop Wood High School and current junior at Towson University. Renninger was one of Pennsylvania's top high school players, helping lead Archbishop Wood to multiple championship appearances while earning recognition for her toughness, leadership, and all-around game. Now a key contributor for the Tigers, Ava brings high-level Division I experience, an outstanding work ethic, and a passion for helping young athletes grow both on and off the court.

Participants will receive elite, high-intensity instruction while learning the habits it takes to succeed at the high school and collegiate levels. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from two outstanding representatives of the game and be inspired by their journeys.
