Event Description

PITCHING/CATCHING CAMPS

Jeffcoat is in his 22nd season as the head coach. Mike Jeffcoat just completed his 21st season as head coach. On March 13, 2026, Coach Jeffcoat became the career wins as a Head Coach in program history with 689 WINS. Since taking the helm in August 2005, Jeffcoat has spearheaded one of the top baseball programs in the NCAA Division II and 2011 National Championship.  He has coached his players to numerous individual and team accomplishments that include 95 All-GSC selections, 4 GSC Freshman of the year. 25 All-GSC Tournament, 5 GSC Tournament Most Valuable Player, 84 All-Region selections, 2 All-Region Gold Glove Awards and 1 National Gold Glove, 26 All-American nods, and 13 MLB Draft Picks.  The 2021, 2023 and 2024 team won the Gulf South Conference Championship, and 9 NCAA Regional appearances.  As a result, his peers named Coach Jeffcoat the GSC Coach of the Year 6 times and All-South Region Coach of the Year and ABCA National Coach of the Year once. The 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Argonauts pitching staff led the league in ERA, innings pitched. One of the Argonauts was the South Region Pitcher of the Year and All-American in 2023.

($155 + $15 Fees)

The camp is session for FOUR weeks (one night per week) will focus on four main points:

  • Proper pitching mechanics
  • Arm strengthening maintenance
  • Bullpen pitching sessions (w/ catcher)
  • Select pitch improvement (fastball, curveball, slider, change-up)
  • FlightScope will be used to gather metrics

Catchers will be included in the camp to work on:

  • Receiving
  • Blocking
  • Catch and Release
