Groove Athletics x Battery Catching Development Camp
Following an incredible turnout of nearly 50 catchers last year, we're excited to bring back our Catching Development Program in partnership with Groove.
This four-week program is designed to help catchers of all ages build confidence, improve their skills, and develop the mindset needed to succeed behind the plate. Athletes will train every Sunday for 1.5 hours, allowing coaches to build on each week's instruction and provide personalized feedback throughout the program.
With a coaching staff of five experienced instructors, including both male and female coaches, players will receive quality instruction in every aspect of catching. Each session will focus on fundamentals while progressively challenging athletes to become more confident leaders on the field.
Areas of instruction include:
- Modern Framing
- Blocking techniques
- Faster Pop Times
- Footwork Skill
- Stance/ Setup/ Mobility
- Mental and Physical Strength
This partnership between Groove and Battery Academy is built around one goal: helping athletes become the best version of themselves. Battery Academy is a faith-centered athletic organization, and our faith in the Lord will be a natural part of this program. Throughout the clinic, Battery Academy will incorporate short lessons and discussions that encourage athletes to grow not only as players, but also as young men and women of character, confidence, and faith. We believe confidence comes through preparation, and our mission is to create an environment where players are challenged, encouraged, and supported every step of the way.
Whether you're brand new to catching or preparing for the next level, this program is designed to help you grow week after week while having fun and building lasting relationships with teammates and coaches.

Required Equipment
Campers are responsible for bringing their own catchers gear, traveling bottle of water, and a good attitude!
