Event Description

Takedowns and Turns Camp

Session 1 (10:00am - 1:15pm) will be focused primarily on takedowns and wrestling dominant positions that we teach here at ACU. High percentage takedowns and hand fighting that leads to scoring on the feet, along with some of our coaches' individual style included.

Session 2 (1:45pm - 5:00pm) will be primarily focused on dominating from the top position. Scoring on top and teaching individuals to chain wrestle from the top position, leading to backpoints and not just riding.

Grades: 7th - 12th
Session 1: 10:00am - 1:15pm
Session 2: 1:45pm - 5:00pm
Cost: $111 ($100 + $11 Fees)

  • Michael Butterfield - ACU Head Coach for past 5 seasons, led ACU to 2 straight top 25 finishes at the 2025 & 2026 NAIA National Championships
  • Jesse Hillhouse - ACU Assistant Coach and 2013 D2 National Champion @ 125 lbs 
  • Jovan Garcia - ACU Assistant Coach and 2024 NAIA National Champion @ 133 lbs and 2022 NJCAA Champion @ 133 lbs
