This clinic will allow the swimmer to work on the stroke of their choice.  We will cover the following:

1) basic balance and static platform position;

2) core rotation (backstroke and freestyle) or core undulation (butterfly and breaststroke);

3) kick, pull, and full stroke;

4) underwater harmonics; and,

5) starts and turns.

The clinic is designed to develop efficiency and technical skill.  We will take stroke counts pre and post clinic.  The object will be for the swimmer to take fewer strokes per length - the foundation of all fast swimming.

For new swimmers we will cover the neurological basis of learning, and growth mindset, and the interaction between gravity and buoyancy in the water.  "Alumni" swimmers will work on advanced balance drills during the first hour of the clinic.

Swimmers will be divided into groups of three based on age.  Each group will have a coach working with them the entire clinic. 

We will register between 12 and 12:25 on the pool deck at Skyline High School in Ann Arbor.  The clinic will start at 12:30 and end at 4:30.
