2019 INTRO TO COMPETITIVE SWIMMING 2

Our Intro To Competitive Swimming is designed to inspire and teach swimmers who are beginner swimmers. It is recommended that participants of the Intro To Competitive Swimming camp are able to swim one lap of each stroke. Campers are not required to have participated previously on an organized team. The intent of Intro To Competitive Swimming is to develop each stroke under the guidance and experience of some of the best college coaches in the country! The camp will approach the training session from a beginners standpoint, helping younger athletes who know how to swim, continue to master the basics and taking new steps to learn more challenging swimming skills.

Each camper will receive a Pittsburgh Swim Camp t-shirt and cap!

STROKE VIDEO ANALYSIS
Price: $100.00
New and improved video analysis for all campers is available! The video will include a review of all four strokes, underwater kick, surface kick, open and freestyle turns and a start. Each personalized video will be professionally edited and analyzed by the University of Pittsburgh Varsity coaches. Each camper will received a digital copy of their stroke analysis.

CHECK-IN
All campers check-in at 8:30am on Monday at Trees Pool. Orientation meeting at 8:45am on the first day of camp and parents are welcome to join their campers for this meeting.

CHECK-OUT
Check-out for ALL campers is at 12:00pm on Thursday. Exact time and location of the camp closing ceremony will be confirmed by the camp director on the first day of camp.

FACILITIES | UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH
The University of Pittsburgh has one of the largest and most beautiful indoor aquatic facilities, Joseph Clifton Trees Pool. It boasts two pools: the first is a 50 meter, 25 yard pool with 21 lanes and a full compliment of diving towers and one and three-meter boards, and the second is a 6-lane, 25 yard pool that is ideal for small group instruction.

8:30am → Half-Day Campers Arrive
9:00am → Morning Pool Session
10:00am → Videotaping / Drills / Out-of-Water Instruction
10:30am → Snack - Not Provided
12:00pm → Half-Day Campers Depart

SUPERVISION
Campers are under constant supervision while participating in camp. Camp staffers participate in all activities, including meals. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

ADDITIONAL INFORMAION
A detailed camper registration packet containing check-in location, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp.

REFUND POLICY
Full refund until May 15, 2019. 50% refund after May 15, 2019.
