Event Description

2019 LEARN TO SWIM CAMP 2

Our Learn to Swim Camp is designed to teach children who do not know how to swim or is not a competitive swimmer the basics of swimming. Children will be taught in a 1-to-3 teacher to swimmer ratio to ensure rapid development and safety of the beginning swimmer. The staff will place an emphasis on understanding floating, treading water, freesytle stroke and water safety. We require all particpants of our Learn to Swim Camp to be potty-trained.

Each camper will receive a Pittsburgh Swim Camp t-shirt and cap!

CHECK-IN
All campers check-in at 8:30am on Monday at Trees Pool. Orientation meeting at 8:45am on the first day of camp and parents are welcome to join their campers for this meeting.

CHECK-OUT
Check-out for ALL campers is at 12:00pm on Thursday. Exact time and location of the camp closing ceremony will be confirmed by the camp director on the first day of camp.

FACILITIES | UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH
The University of Pittsburgh has one of the largest and most beautiful indoor aquatic facilities, Joseph Clifton Trees Pool. It boasts two pools: the first is a 50 meter, 25 yard pool with 21 lanes and a full compliment of diving towers and one and three-meter boards, and the second is a 6-lane, 25 yard pool that is ideal for small group instruction.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
8:30am → Learn To Swim Campers Arrive
9:00am → Morning Pool Session
10:00am → In / Out-of-Water Instruction
10:30am → Snack - Not Provided
12:00pm → Learn To Swim Campers Depart

SUPERVISION
Campers are under constant supervision while participating in camp. Camp staffers participate in all activities, including meals. Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are strictly prohibited, and constitute, along with general misconduct, grounds for dismissal from camp without a refund.

ADDITIONAL INFORMAION
A detailed camper registration packet containing check-in location, emergency contact info, and a list of things to bring will be emailed to all registered campers prior to camp.

REFUND POLICY
Full refund until May 15, 2019. 50% refund after May 15, 2019.
