He was an assistant coach at national powerhouse Johns Hopkins from 2001-2008, where he coached present day Johns Hopkins coach, Scott Armstrong to a D3 National record in the Mile. From Johns Hopkins, Weitz took over as head coach at Wabash College.  He was there from 2008-2010, leading them to their best finish (3rd) in the NCAC, a national powerhouse conference that includes Kenyon and Denison.  At the youth level, Weitz was a three-time National YMCA Coach of the Year nominee while running the program at the Somerset Hills YMCA in Basking Ridge, N.J. While there, he coached swimmers to four individual and two relay national championships. He was the head coach for three years as the prestigious Gilman School in Baltimore, Md. Before arriving at Bard, Weitz served five years as the head senior coach with the New Canaan, CT YMCA Caimans. In his other role as Aquatics Director, Weitz manages all programs associated with the Stevenson Athletic Center natatorium, outside of the varsity programs.

Jenna Tocco  is the Assistant Swim Coach at Bard College where she just completed her third season with the team.  She grew up in the region and was a competitive swimmer from the ages of 7-18 when she then left for Division I Stony Brook University.  While at Stony Brook she received her B.A. in Environmental Design, Policy and Planning.  She is also a swim coach for the summer recreation swim team in her home town of Kerhonkson, NY.
