Cyclone Swimming Camps

Intensive Starts Camp

The campers will learn the proper techniques for individual front and back starts. The relay starting technique will also be taught.  The campers will work on reaction time, proper techniques needed to have quick and powerful start. Campers will be taught the correct entry into the water and how to use underwater kicking and proper breakout strokes to win the first 20 yards of the race.

  • Individual Starts for Freestyler, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Backstroke
  • Relay – 1 step, 2 step and fin step over
  • Underwater and above water filming

Boys/Girls: Ages 10-18
Check-in: 8:30-9:00 a.m.
Pool Session: 9:00am - 12:00pm
Lunch: 12:00pm - 1:00pm
Pool Session: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Check-out: 4:00-4:30 p.m. 
Cost: $115 - Lunch will be provided
Limited to 50 Campers

If you sign up for a 2nd camp, you will receive $10.00 off the cost of the 2nd camp.  Thus the first camp will cost $115 and the 2nd camp will cost $105.

If you sign up for all 3 camps, you will receive additional $10.00 off the 3rd camp. Thus the first camp will cost $115, the 2nd camp will cost $105, and the 3rd camp will cost $95.

Note: At each camp, at least four current or former NCAA Division I coaches will be on deck teaching and working with the campers. Current Iowa State University women swimmers will also be on deck helping the campers to improve their technique and skills to become better and faster swimmers.
