Tentative Workshop Outline
Friday, January 11
- 8:30-9:00 - Check in and refreshments
- 9:00 - Welcome, group warm up, singing songs together, and overview of the workshop
- 9:15-10:30 - Presentation and discussion on the teaching of Berton Coffin and Louis Cunningham
- 10:30-10:40 - Break
- 10:40-12:00 - (continued)
- 12:00-1:30 - Lunch break and informal discussions. We will have lunch catered in (cost included in registration)
- 1:30-3:00 - Presentation and discussion on the teaching of Barbara Doscher
- 3:00-3:10 - Break
- 3:10-4:30 - (continued)
- 4:30-6:00 - Pedagogical Q & A time. Opportunities for informal lessons/coaching
- 6:30-?? - Dinner and socializing together at a local restaurant (not included in registration)
Saturday, January 12
- 9:00-9:15 - Welcome, group warm up, singing songs together
- 9:15-10:30 - What has changed/been updated in pedagogical thought/knowledge since the time of Coffin, Cunningham, Doscher?
- 10:30-10:40 - Break
- 10:40-12:00 - What have we learned on our own since our time at CU?
- 12:00-1:30 - Lunch break and informal discussions. We will have lunch catered in (cost included in registration)
- 1:30-3:30 - Singing for each other! An accompanist will be provided (cost included in registration)
- 3:30-3:40 - Break
- 3:40-5:30 - Pedagogical Q & A time. Opportunities for lessons/coaching.
- 6:00 - Dinner and social time at a local restaurant (not included in registration)
