Event Description

2019 WHEELCHAIR BASKETBALL CAMP

  June 19 - 22
  Who: Ages 12 - 19, Independent in Activities of Daily Living With a Strong Interest in Competitive Wheelchair Basketball & Ready to Participate in Strenuous Practice Sessions  
  Check-In: 12:30pm  
  Cost: $425.00 per Camper
Includes Room, Board, Instructional Costs, Camp Practice Jerseys, Airport Shuttle & Administrative Costs
 

Alabama's annual Wheelchair Basketball Camp will be held on June 19-22, 2019. Campers planning to attend this camp should be aged 12-19, independent in activities of daily living, have a strong interest in competitive wheelchair basketball and be ready to participate in strenuous practice sessions for up to 6 hours per day.

Staff
Staff for this camp will include Men's and Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Basketball Coaches, as well as instruction from current and former Alabama Wheelchair Basketball Team Members.

Discounts
A $25 discount, per camper, is available to groups of three or more campers from the same team or program. Contact Adam Kramer at aokramer@ua.edu for more information.

Travel Plans
Travel plans should allow campers to be on campus Wednesday morning, June 19. The first meeting and on court session will take place Wednesday afternoon. All campers must arrive at check-in by 12:30pm. We will provide an airport shuttle from Birmingham Airport. Flights on Wednesday should arrive no later than 11:00am, and flights on Saturday should depart no earlier than 3:00pm.

Housing
Housing for camp will be in separate, gender based, sections of a University of Alabama dormitory on campus. Bedrooms, restrooms, and shower facilities are all accessible.
