NRA Basic Pistol Class

Location: Get Some Guns, 10500 Hickman Rd, Clive, IA 50325

Basic knowledge for both systems (semi auto's and revolvers). Learn about ammunition and the basic handgun marksmanship skills as well. You'll need at least 80 rounds of ammunition. This will qualify you for a CCW permit.

You must register through the NRA WEB SITE for this class once you have signed up.

We will provide you with the NRA's Basic Pistol Book, please remember to bring paper and pen for notes.  Once class is done you'll be required to take an open book test and pass with 70%.  Once we are done with the written test, we will go out and qualify using the below standards.

• Level 1 - 3 yds 4 groups of 5 shots each
• Level 2 - 5 yds 4 groups of 5 shots each
• Level 3 - 7 yds 4 groups of 5 shots each
• Level 4 - 15 yds 16 out of 20 shots in a 6" group
