Hardrocker Esports Camps

2019 Esports Leadership and Computer Programming

The objectives of the Hardrocker Esports Leadership and Computer programming camps are to provide a resource for developing Esports players, while introducing critically important life skills. Throughout the course of the camp, attendees will be placed on an Esports team and learn valuable communication and analytical skills. Then when team play is finished, campers will learn introductory computer programming concepts, through designing their own windows application.

June 10th - 14th
Who: High School Participants
Morning Session: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Afternoon Session: 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Cost: $250
Limit: 12 Participants per Session

Note: Games will only be played on computers, not consoles. If you are interested in playing Overwatch / Rocket League, you are required to own those game licenses yourself.

    • Hour 1: Camp Introduction
    • Hour 2: Presentation - Team Spirit
    • Hour 3: Assign teams / introduce team play
    • Hour 4: Start Windows Application
  • Day 2
    • Hour 1: Presentation - Cooperation / teamwork
    • Hour 2: Team building exercise / scrim
    • Hour 3: VOD Review
    • Hour 4: Continue Windows Application
  • Day 3
    • Hour 1: Presentation - Leadership
    • Hour 2: Leadership exercise
    • Hour 3: Introduce tournament play
    • Hour 4: Continue Windows Application
  • Day 4
    • Hour 1: Presentation - Strategy
    • Hour 2: Strategic exercise / discussion
    • Hour 3: Finish Python project
    • Hour 4: Discuss final tournament day
  • Day 5
    • Hours 1 - 3: Tournament play
    • Hour 4: Pass out certificates and award voting
