Week of June 9th | Spectrum Health Injury Prevention Camp
WEEK OF JUNE 9TH | SPECTRUM HEALTH INJURY PREVENTION CAMP
This injury prevention camp will be taught and led by athletic trainer Emily Pearson from Spectrum Health. The goals of SHIPP are to help reduce the number of athletic-related injuries, promote healthy/active lifestyles, provide education on athletic injury-related topics, and maximize injury-free athletic potential. SHIPP is designed based on the Sportsmetrics ACL Injury Prevention Program.
Sportsmetrics™ is a comprehensive jump training program that combines plyometrics, strength training, and flexibility. It is the only scientific proven program that reduces the risk of knee injury, increases jump power, and improves leg strength for sports that involve pivoting, cutting, or jumping. This program will be held at Calvin Christian High School and includes a camp t-shirt. Please contact Emily Pearson at Emily.firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
This is a 6 week camp that starts the week of June 11th and ends the week of July 23rd. Attendees will meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week. Please note there will be no sessions during the week of the 4th of July.
