Northwestern University Baseball is offering a father and son winter holiday camp unlike no other in the greater Chicago area. This camp is an exceptional opportunity for kids to not only develop their skills by working with the Northwestern Baseball Coaching Staff & Players, but also to go through camp with their fathers. The NU coaching staff hopes each father will leave with a greater understanding of the correct teaching strategies for each of their sons. The NU Baseball Coaching Staff has designed this camp in part to develop the skill set of each player attending, create a fun and learning atmosphere for the participants, and use the first class facilities on the campus of Northwestern University. This camp includes, but is not limited to the following activities - instruction in the following areas: (hitting/pitching/infield/outfield/catching/baserunning/bunting/throwing), while also keeping a fun and enjoyable camp atmosphere. In addition to skill development using drill stations, the campers will participate in games which will emphasize the skills taught earlier in camp. The NU coaching staff believes in the combination of skill development using drill work and competitive games designed to reinforce the skills being taught. The fun activities will be used to increase each individual’s passion for the game of baseball and daily activity. The skills and love for the game developed during these years will serve as the building block for future development in high school and beyond.
