Winter Advanced Prospect Camp

Both sessions for $110 From 169, Take College Ave, take right at the college sign, park in the nearest lot to Lund. Doors will be open up top by the stairs as well as by the ice arena.

Session 1: Advanced Pitching
- Developing the proper warm up
- Location/Accuracy
- Power Drive to the mound-Increasing speed
- Movement Pitch Work-Small group instruction on different movement pitches
1:00pm-2:30pm Session 1: Advanced Catching
- Receiving footwork and glove work
- Transfer Skills-timed throw downs
- Throwing from the knees/staying on your feet
- Framing consistently and appropriately
- Blocking fundamentals/quickness/footwork
2:30pm-4:30pm Session 2: Defensive Work
Throwing Fundamentals (30 minutes)
- Increasing power in the throw
- Throwing from different slots
- Understanding the different types of throws
- Throwing games to help increase strength and accuracy
Infield Play (40 minutes)
- Establishing an infield fundamental routine
- Proper glovework and footwork
- Increased speed and movement based on “ready position”
- Drills to help improve corner and middle play
Outfield Play (40 minutes)
- Increase speed on drop steps
- Understanding the importance of reading balls
- Beating the ball to the spot
- Transfer work
- Whole body throws
- Catching the ball in the correct spot
4:30-5:15pm Dinner-Pizza Provided
5:15-7:30pm Session 2: Offensive Play
Baserunning/Quickness/Agility (30 minutes)
- Proper running form
- Gustie warm ups emphasizing quickness
- How to run the bases most efficiently
- The benefits of smart baserunners-reading the situation
- Different types of slides
Bunting/Slapping (30 minutes)
- Teach bunting fundamentals
- Work on the different types of bunts and the different situations
- Help athletes understand the importance of the short game and the WHY
- Help athletes learn the basics of slapping
Hitting Stations (30 minutes)
- Work on balance starting from the ground up
- Help develop proper hand path
- Increase body awareness
- Teach athletes the importance of timing
- Develop more leg drive
- Practice keeping top half in
Live Pitching (30 minutes)
- College pitchers will throw live as campers
