Summer Camps

Location: Oglethorpe University

All camps led by CURRENT Oglethorpe University Head Baseball Coach Dan Giordano and all kids will be coached by College players. Coach Giordano is the winnegest coach in school history and has over 225 career wins. He has been coaching for 16 years and has been working camps for 10+ years.

Coach to camper ratio is 10-1.

Oglethorpe is coming off a record breaking season where they finished 3rd in their conference and finished with 24 wins They placed 7 players on the All-Conference team and two players on All-Region teams. Kids will go through the same drills as the college players in age specific groups designed to enhance each players skill level. First time players and seasoned vets will all benefit from a week on a college campus baseball field. Along with baseball activities the camp will include other fun baseball activities! Join us for a fun-filled week of baseball.

Coach G uses a variety of instructional techniques to develop the basics techniques of baseball. He’ll use some of the same drills used at every level of baseball to reinforce proper fundamentals. Along with the traditional drills he will use other fun activities such  as slip n’ slide to teach proper sliding form for all ages. Coach G believes in teaching baseball and creating a fun atmosphere where everyone can improve no matter their skill level. Instructions includes:

• Throwing
• Fielding
• Pitching
• Hitting
• Team Defense
• Bunting
• Baserunning
