Event Description

2019 PITT BASEBALL FALL HITTING ACADEMY (7-12U)

The Fall Hitting Academy (7-12u) is a weekly camp designed to benefit the player looking to specifically improve their hitting skill set.
 
The academy is held at the Petersen Baseball Complex located at 365 Robinson Street Extension, Pittsburgh, PA 15219
 
Walk-up participants are welcome and will be responsible for the pro-rated daily rate to participate in a single day of the Academy

Wednesday, September 18th & 25th
Wednesday, October 2nd, 16th, 23rd & 30th

CAMP PARTICIPATION
Limited To Players Ages 7 - 12U

CAMP CHECK-IN
The camp check-in time will be from 5:45pm-6:00pm at the Petersen Baseball Complex.

DAILY CAMP TIMES
Starts: 6:00pm / Ends: 7:00pm

TUITION
$300.00 includes all six dates
Tuition does not include any meals, transportation, or lodging. The camp is not an overnight camp, thus players are responsible for their own hotel and transportation.

ESTIMATED DAILY SCHEDULE
5:45pm - 6:00pm → Registration Begins
6:00pm - 7:00pm → Instruction

EQUIPMENT
Each participant must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, helmet, bat, batting gloves and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Please mark each participants’ names on all items. The camp is not responsible for lost belongings.

MEALS
With the small time commitment of these academy days, meals should not be necessary but should a participant need a meal it will be their responsibility. Water will be provided at the event.

PARKING

Parking is available in the OC Parking Lot located across from the Fitzgerald Fieldhouse on Allequippa Street. All vehicles parked on campus are subject to The University of Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh parking regulations.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
PITT Baseball Camps have an open-door policy regarding watching your son practice and play while at camp. Should you want to arrange an official tour of campus, you will need to contact the Admissions Office at https://oafa.pitt.edu/visit/tours/.

CANCELLATION POLICY
All camps are non-refundable. Only camp credits will be given except in unforeseen circumstances, such as injuries or other unique situations. Please send your cancellation requests directly to the camp administrator, John Sansone at jsansone@athletics.pitt.edu. Your request must be sent 7 days prior to the start of camp to receive a future camp credit.
