The Michigan Diving Camp is coached and directed by the University of Michigan Head Diving Coach, Mike Hilde. Assisting him will be Club Wolverine Diving Head Age-Group Coach, Gabby Han and assistant coach, Kyle Howard. Other coaches include former University of Michigan Legendary Head Coach, Dick Kimball, along with camp counselors from the University of Michigan Diving Team.
As a camper at the Michigan Diving Camp you wil learn the importance of basic fundamentals that go into proper form and technique during the dive while somersaulting, twisting, and ripping. We will also cover precise hurdle and back press. Other lessons will stress the significance of having a stretching routine and a solid strength and conditioning base.
We use many resources at the Michigan Diving Camp to help campers get the most out of their experience. In addition to diving practices campers will obtain specific lessons on nutrition from a licensed University of Michigan nutritionist; mental toughness education from a University of Michigan Sports Psychologist; and the story of Olympian and Olympic Coach Dick Kimball's road to greatness.
Overnight campers will reside at the South Quadrangle Residence Hall and meals will be taken at the dorm cafeteria under the constant supervision of the camp counselors. Evenings in the dorm will consist of a variety of fun games and social events for the campers to enjoy.
