Tae Kwon Do With Master Mike: Grades K-4th
Mike Marienthal, better known as “Master Mike,” is a 6th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do with over thirty years of teaching experience in the Northern Indianapolis community.  Participants will receive a thorough introduction to this ancient art form whose roots stretch back over two thousand years. Your child will enter as a beginning student or white belt, but all skill levels are welcome. A typical class will consist of stretching, punches, kicks and blocks. Your child will also be introduced to sparring (simulated fighting) and forms (a set pattern of strikes and blocks). Tae Kwon Do uniforms are optional and available for purchase from Master Mike. Otherwise, please wear loose clothing. Tae Kwon Do utilizes a colored belt-testing format where students attempt to reach their next belt level. At the end of the session, a number of students will be eligible for the promotion test. More details about the promotion test will be distributed as the session progresses.
