Math Pentathlon: Grades Preschool – Pre-K - K (Ages 4-5)
Math Pentathlon: Preschool-Kindergarten (Ages 4-6) For this session we will use some basic developmental math skills and beginning board game strategies to play one-to-one partner board games. We will use the Division I Math Pentathlon games with some modifications for younger children. Students will be introduced to movement of a pawn on a board, use basic counting, rolling dice, and taking turns. Math Pentathlon is a program of interactive problem-solving games. There are games available throughout elementary grades. Each division focuses on 5 unique games that strengthen basic math concepts and utilize problem solving strategies. All games align with National and State mathematics standards and stimulate creative thinking while developing spatial, computational, and logical reasoning. Limited to 40 participants.
