Cultural Cuisine Camp

Cultural Cuisine Camp: Exploring Cultural Cuisine around Zionsville Grades 7th - 9th
Come join us in exploring the many different cultural foods offered in Zionsville! This camp involves traveling to various restaurants around the area, including Amore, Auberge, El Toro, Happy Kitchen to taste a variety of foods from each country represented! In addition, you will get a chance to conduct a short interview with someone from each restaurant, discussing the history of their cultural and cuisine. This camp combines lessons about all areas of the world, journalism and media, and culinary creativity.  The week will culminate in you putting together a colorful and creative magazine that features interviews, photos, and geographic information and history!

The program will last 5 days. We will visit a restaurant each day, and spend the afternoon putting together the magazine page for that restaurant and culture. Students will get to combine writing, photography, and social skills for a unique and educational learning experience! Please bring a personal computer or tablet to work on the magazine.

Transportation to each restaurant will be provided via mini-bus. Limit of 20 participants.
