9TH - 12TH GRADE BOYS CROSS COUNTRY CAMP
Ankeny Hawks Boys’ Cross-Country Head Coach Jon Lindaman & the cross-country staff will again be offering a summer training program to runners entering 9th-12th grades (younger runners are encouraged to participate in our other camp designed especially for middle school runners). As a team we will train for 2019 PR’s and to continue the Ankeny Hawk legacy of running excellence. We will strive to create a cohesive team and increase strength, endurance, flexibility.
This camp will offer many different types of workouts and explore many different running routes around the community. We will gradually increase mileage throughout the summer, and each athletes training program will be tailored to their age, ability level, and desire to grow as a runner. Coaches will provide games to keep training fun, and each athlete will receive a camp t-shirt for registering.
Monday/Wednesday will begin with strength training in the Southview weight room followed by a running workout. Tuesday/Thursday will begin with dynamic drills & plyometrics followed by a running workout.
