Event Description

Cross Country Clinic

 

The Plan
We will provide the athletes with constant guidance and encouragement to their individual summer running program as outlined by their high school coaches. We also provide training suggestions to those looking for assistance throughout the summer.

The Action
• Runners are divided into appropriate training groups based upon experience and goals
• Experienced, successful coaches lead workouts to address those goals
• Participants push alongside other committed distance runners learning to train properly

June 24th, July 1st, July 8th
Grades: K - 6th
Time: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Cost: $15 per Session (Includes T-shirt)
OR $40 for all 3
Camp Schedule (K - 6th)
5:00 PM Warm-Up Games & Welcome
5:15 PM - 5:30 PM Training Run
5:30 PM - 5:45 PM Cool Down and Stretching
5:45 PM Weekly Speaker and Closing

The Leadership
The clinics will be led by Lyon College head men’s and women’s cross country coach Adam Trausch with the assistance of local coaches and guest speakers. Speakers include former
NCAA Division I athletes, a registered dietitian, and area coaches.

Location
Lyon College Football Complex:

Participants receive:
• supervised instruction to prepare you for the cross country season
• post-run snacks
• running T-shirt
• entry in door prize drawings
