ANKENY CENTENNIAL HS CAMPS | Cross Country Camps

This Girls Cross Country Camp is led by the Ankeny Centennial Cross Country Coaching Staff. The 8th Grade Camp is Open to ANY and ALL Students Enrolled at Northview MS. The 9th-12th Grade Camp is Open to ANY and ALL Students Enrolled in Ankeny Centennial HS. |
GIRLS XC ALL-IN CAMP
- All camp sessions will begin on Monday, July 13th and the number of sessions offered is reduced due to the shortened schedule.
- Before each workout, each runner must pass the pre-participation screening that is currently being utilized for softball and baseball.
- If a camper of a session is diagnosed with Covid-19, similar to baseball and softball, that session is halted for two weeks. All athletes in that session will transition to virtual training until the session is cleared to reopen.
- Water will not be provided on any of the running routes. Runners must bring their own water.
- All camp sessions will begin and end at Crestbruck Park (1001 NE Crestmoor Pl). This park provides shade and nearby neighborhoods with mature trees. Those routes will help runners stay cooler since we cannot provide water on the run.
- No destination runs are currently planned due to inability to socially distance in carpools.
- Sessions will be capped in size and athletes will select from various offerings described below. This promotes smaller groups and avoids mixing of groups.
- A Tuesday evening video conference call will be added for team bonding opportunities.
- The option to receive personalized coaching through e-mail and feedback forms is also being offered.
- All athletes who attend 12 sessions (was 20) will receive a shirt.
- Additional milestone incentives will be awarded for those who keep a running log.
LOCATION: Crestbruck Park, west parking lot, 1001 NE Crestmoor Place
SESSION A: Fast and the Furious, 5 days per week together and guidance for the other two days, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Sat 7:00-8:30AM. Open to runners who have ran <7:00 for mile or <23:00 for 5k
SESSION B: Early risers, 3 days per week together and guidance for the other four days, Mon-Wed-Thu 8:30-9:30AM. Open to all runners
SESSION C: Night owls, 3 days per week together and guidance for the other four days, Mon-Wed-Thu 7:30-8:30PM. Open to all runners
SESSION D: Virtual Training, all training delivered electronically, fully customized and unlimited e-mail communication. Open to all runners
FEES – Session A is $65. Sessions B, C, and D are $50.
