2019 Hitting Camps

The Ryan Jacobs Softball School Offensive Camps are designed to show you a unique opportunity inside our UNI Softball Program and how we continue to develop our Panther Softball Players.  You will get the chance to work along side and ask questions to the UNI Coaching Staff and the Panther players!

Fundamental Hitting and Elite Hitting will be run by Head Coach Ryan Jacobs, UNI Staff, and UNI Panther Players.

Location: Registration is at the SW Entrance of the UNI-Dome.

Fundamental Hitting & Softball Skills will cover:

• Mechanics of Hitting, Base Running, and Bunting
• Things to focus on with younger hitters
• Hitting drills for mechanics as well as timing drills
• Proper base running
• Throwing mechanics
• Fielding mechanics

Elite Hitting will cover:

• Mechanics and details for advanced hitters
• UNI Hitting philosophies
• Swing analysis
• Common mistakes with older hitters
• Drills to develop different parts of your swing

All campers need to bring their own bat, clean tennis shoes, batting gloves, and helmet. (Batting gloves and helmet will not be required)
 
YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT THE FOLLOWING (Even if you have attended University of Northern Iowa Softball Camps in the past, we will need NEW copies of both documents for EVERY Ryan Jacobs Softball School camp you register for):

1. Copy of Insurance Card
2. Current High School Physical Form or Signed Doctor’s Permission Form

Confirmation E-mail: You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 24 hours of registering online for camp. Be sure and check your junk box, as sometimes the confirmation e-mail can get lost there. Also, the e-mail address you listed on the application is where the confirmation e-mail will be sent, so please double check that the e-mail address is entered correctly.

Refund Policy: In order to be compliant with NCAA rules, please understand that any payment you make towards camp is non-refundable. If for some reason a camper cannot attend, please inform us two weeks prior to the camp or clinic date and we will gladly forward your camp balance to be used towards for a different Ryan Jacobs Softball School Camp or clinic. Please note that this does not reserve or hold your spot, you must still meet registration deadlines. If the camp director is not notified two weeks prior to the camp or clinic date, no forward will occur. If an individual cannot attend due to a medical reason, please provide a doctor’s note to us and the balance will be forwarded, if the cancellation is made prior to camp. Finally, no refunds or balance forwards will be issued upon expulsion or voluntary withdrawal from camp.
