2018 UCSD Softball Academy

Camp Details
Who: Girls Ages 12-18 Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm Location: Triton Softball Field Cost: $45 for 1 session of offence or defense or $80 for 2 sessions

October 24th Session 1: Fielding

The academy will teach skills pertaining to infiled, outfield, and offensive strategies. The event will be held Wednesdays from 6pm-8pm beginning September 5th- November 28th. Instructions will be given by Assistant Coaches Nicole Hennessey and Megan Griffith.

Class size is limited to 10 people per session.

Schedule

Session 1: Fielding from 6pm-7pm

This session will cover all the basic fundamentals of fielding as well as advanced strategies of individual positions. All positions will spend time working on glovework, footwork as well as situational defensive play. Drills used will be directly related to gamelike situations and will aim to push athletes to their peak level of performance on the field!

What to bring: Cleats, glove and water.

Attire: Please wear athletic t-shirt, softball pants and long socks.

Session 2: Hitting from 7pm- 8pm

This session will cover the biomechanics of hitting and the different steps of a swing when broken down. Hitters will be taught different drills to help perfect the fundamentals of their swings, learn how to translate techniques from the cage to the field, and learn to love hitting!

What to bring: Cleats, helmet, bat, batting gloves (if needed) and water.

Attire: Please wear athletic t-shirt, softball pants and long socks.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: No refunds will be given. However, registrations are transferable, meaning the participant can transfer to a later clinic.
