2019 SUMMER CAMP SESSION I - ENTERING 9TH-12TH GRADES (FALL 2019)
Do you want to experience the most amazing Softball camp in the country and have some fun in the sun this summer? Then join UA Coaches and staff; Patrick Murphy, Alyson Habetz, Stephanie Prothro, Brynne Dordel, Esi Atinkah and Kate Harris, as well as current and former members of the UA Softball Team at Patrick Murphy Softball School SUMMER CAMP!
Patrick Murphy Softball School Summer Camp will also feature some of the most talented, experienced and enthusiastic high school and college coaches from across the Country! This will be our BEST summer camp yet! Each camper will come away with a better understanding of the fundamentals, improved individual skills and a positive team experience all while making memories that will last a lifetime! Whether it is obtaining a softball scholarship, breaking in to the starting line-up on your team, or just making some memories on the diamond, we will provide you with the skills, work ethic, and knowledge necessary to accomplish your goals.
Patrick Murphy Softball School Summer Camp will cover all defensive positions, including: pitching, catching, first base, second base, third base, shortstop and the outfield. In addition to all aspects of the offensive game, including: hitting, bunting, slapping, base running and sliding.
Previous Camp Balance / Camp Forwards
Your camp balance does not reserve or hold your spot for future camps or clinics. If you are using a forward from a previous camp, please e-mail email@example.com once registration has opened for the camp or clinic you would like to register for AND prior to the camp or clinic filling up! You CANNOT register online if you are using a forward from a previous camp, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org once registration has opened for the camp or clinic you would like to register for AND prior to the camp or clinic filling up!
Camp Refund Policy
In order to be compliant with NCAA rules, please understand that any payment you make towards camp is non-refundable. If for some reason a camper cannot attend, please inform Kate Harris (email@example.com) two weeks prior to the camp or clinic date and we will gladly forward your camp balance to be used towards for a different Patrick Murphy Softball School Camp or clinic. If an individual cannot attend due to a medical reason, please provide a doctor’s note to firstname.lastname@example.org and the balance will be forwarded, if the cancellation is made prior to camp. Finally, no refunds or balance forwards will be issued upon expulsion or voluntary withdrawal from camp.
You will receive a confirmation e-mail within 24 hours of registering online for camp. Be sure and check your junk box, as sometimes the confirmation e-mail can get lost there. Also, the e-mail address you listed on the application is where the confirmation e-mail will be sent, so please double check that the e-mail address is entered correctly before submitting camp registration form.
Pay Remaining Balance Information
Remaining balance must be paid on-line by Monday, June 3rd, 2019. You can pay your remaining balance anytime with your registration ID, by clicking on the "PAY MY BALANCE" button on the top side of the screen.
Campers are responsible for their own overnight accommodations and getting to/from Rhoads Stadium each day. The HAMPTON INN is the official hotel sponsor for Patrick Murphy Softball School and will provide rooms at a discounted cost. They have TWO locations in Tuscaloosa. Hampton Inn - University is located just on the other side of McFarland Blvd., across from Rhoads Stadium. Hampton Inn - East is located 7 miles from Rhoads Stadium. Please contact the Hampton Inn directly if you have any questions regarding overnight accommodations or if you have any issues with the links provided below.
Check-in will take place at Rhoads Stadium and campers will arrive according to where their last name falls in the alphabet. Camp activities will take place after registration.

- M-Z | 9:30am - 10:00am
For whatever reason, if you are not able to arrive prior to 10:00am on the first day of camp, please e-mail email@example.com to coordinate a modified registration time. Please do not email regarding a late check-in UNTIL the week of camp. If a camper is leaving early, please notify via email as well. Please do not email regarding a late check-out UNTIL the week of camp.
What To Bring To Camp Checklist
- Shorts / Pants (Whatever the camper is more comfortable in.)
- Softball Glove
- Catching Equipment (If you are a Catcher.)
- Softball Bat
- Batting Gloves
- Tennis Shoes / Cleats
- Spending Money (There will be camp souvenirs for sale.)
- Required Medical Documents (*See Further Explanation Below.)
We have a very specific method in which we assign teams. In order to insure everyone plays their primary position at Rhoads Stadium, we have to follow this proven system. We will not be able to accommodate any requests for campers to be put on the same team.
A detailed camp itinerary will be e-mailed out a few days prior to camp. The file will be in a PDF format, so you can access it via your smart phone or tablet during camp. You will also have the opportunity to make a copy prior to arriving at camp. Session I campers can expect the following daily schedule:
- June 17th | 10:00am - 5:00pm (Lunch will be provided to campers on the concourse of Rhoads Stadium.)
- June 18th | 9:00am - 5:00pm (Lunch will be provided to campers on the concourse of Rhoads Stadium.)
- June 19th | 9:00am - 12:00pm
Required Medical Documents
Even if you have attended Patrick Murphy Softball School Camps in the past, we will need NEW COPIES of both documents below at registration:
- Copy of Insurance Card
- Copy of School Physical (Completed Within 365 Days of Camp/Clinic Date) OR Signed Doctor’s Permission Form
THE NCAA PROHIBITS US FROM SAVING SPOTS FOR FUTURE CAMPS -- NO EXCEPTIONS.
All camps are open to any and all entrants. (Limit only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
Alabama Softball camps are solely operated by Patrick Murphy Softball School, which is not affiliated with The Board of Trustees of the University of Alabama or The University of Alabama.
