Summer Camps

Grades: 8th - 12th
Cost: $50 per camp before deadline
$60 per camp after deadline
$135 for all 3 camps before deadline
$165 for all 3 camps after deadline
Check-in: Begins at 8:00am

LOCATION: Dempsey Field, Albion College

NOTES:

Camp registration/check-in begins at 8:00am, Dempsey Field
Cost before deadline - $50 each camp; or $135 for all three camps (same date).
Cost after deadline - $60 each camp; or $165 for all three camps (same date)
Campers must bring tennis shoes/turf shoes and cleats incase weather forces us to go indoors.
No make-up date will be scheduled for the July 24th camp. Campers will be notified of any changes to the schedule in advance.
All campers must download and complete the release of liability form. Camper must bring the release of liability form with them to camp along with a copy of the camper’s insurance card.
Each pitcher must supply her own catcher. Catcher also must sign release of liability form and bring copy of insurance card with them.

Schedule for the day

Time	Activity
8:30am - 10:00am	Offensive Camps These camps provide offensive knowledge and fundamentals. Sessions include an individual evaluation of offensive skills, mental approach, short game, and situational hitting. A lecture will be provided on baserunning.
10:15am - 11:45am	Defensive Specialty Camps These camps develop the fundamentals of fastpitch softball. Guided instruction and drill work assists the players in development of throwing technique and positional play for infield, outfield, and catcher. The camp’s focus is defense, and will not include offensive components.
11:45am - 12:15pm	Lunch on your own/no lunch provided by Albion Softball
12:15pm - 1:45pm	Pitching Camps Pitching camps will include thorough instruction of the fastball mechanics in addition to off-speed and movement pitches. Lecture, individual instruction, and drill work will assist the player in her progress. Campers will be grouped according to age and skill level. Velocity and rate of spins also will be determined. Pitchers attending any session must bring their own softball. Pitchers must provide their own catchers. All pitchers and catchers must have a release form on file to participate. Please make copies of the release form so parents and guardians of catchers under the age of 18 can read and sign the participation release. Adults who are catching can complete a release form on site.
