Elite Pitching/Catching Camp

Coach Boo and her staff are pleased to host their Boilermaker Elite Prospect Pitching/Catching Camp at Bittinger Softball Stadium on Monday, June 17, 2019.

If you are in grades 6-12 looking to take your pitching or catching to the next level, the Boilermaker Elite Prospect Pitching/Catching Camp is for you! Campers will receive skill instruction from Purdue Softball Coaches.

This session is intended to be a pitching session either separate or in conjunction with the Boilermaker Elite Prospect All-Skills Camp. Pitchers and Catchers will learn different drills and skill sets at each camp.  Come showcase yourself in front of the Purdue Softball Coaches!

  • Pitching: proper fastball mechanics, movement pitch mechanics, the mental game on the mound, increasing velocity, improving pitch spin, pitching at the next level, setting up batters, arm care, pitching measurements, etc. (Pitchers do not have to bring a Catcher to camp with them.)

Catching: Receiving, blocking, increasing throwing velocity from feet and knees, situational defense, the mental game behind the plate, arm care, setting up batters, developing pitcher/catcher relationships, etc

Location: Bittinger Softball Stadium 1324 McCormick Rd West Lafayette, IN 47906If weather does not permit camp to occur at Bittinger Softball Stadium, Camp will be moved into Bittinger Softball Stadium Batting Cages or an alternate location. Campers will be notified.

Additional Information: Boilermaker Elite Prospect Pitching/Catching Camp is open to all Campers, grades 6-12. Online Registration will remain open until Friday, June 14, 2019 at 12:00pm ET, or until camp is filled.  

Staff: Purdue Softball Coaches

Registration / Check-In: Check-In will occur at Bittinger Softball Stadium. All Participants MUST register online. All paperwork must be filled out and payment received prior to the start of Camp.

Equipment: All Campers must bring their own softball equipment.  Molded or metal cleats, sneakers or turf shoes, glove, catching gear, etc. No cleats allowed in the batting cages; Campers must bring sneakers too.

Campers are encouraged to wear their middle school, high school, club, or travel ball uniforms. Campers are also encouraged to bring any additional equipment that they may need, such as a mouthpiece, facemask, water jug, etc.  Water will be available at all sessions.
 

Refund Policy: We reserve the right not to refund participant’s registration fees. All registrations are final. We strongly recommend you purchase registration insurance. During the registration process, you will be provided the option to insure the full amount of your registration. With Registration Protector, a camper who misses an event for a reason such as a covered injury or illness, job loss, transportation delays, military/family/legal obligations, and other covered reasons can get their camp fees reimbursed in full. Camp insurance gives you peace of mind if you cannot make it to one of our events. It costs less than a cup of coffee to insure your registration amount.
