The Duke Softball coaching staff will host Player Development clinics for those looking to be challenged & elevate their game with top notch instruction. Sessions are open to any and all athletes in grades 6th through 12th, and will be held at Duke University Softball Stadium—4 Brodie Gym Dr. Durham, NC 27708.

Package Includes 2 Hours of Instruction:

  • 40 Min Hitting
  • 40 Min Velocity Overhand Throwing Program
  • 40 Min Defensive Position Work (P, C, Infield or Outfield)

Hitting:
Learn to blend your personal style with the needed substance to create your best swing. Campers will be taught the key movement patterns that exist in great swings. Movement work to help promote proper swing patterns will be taught. Campers will have the opportunity to use Blast Motion and Rapsodo Hitting to connect what they are feeling in their swings compared to what is actually taking place. Our small setting will provide lots of time for 1 on 1 work with an emphasis on player discussions and individualized progressions.

Throwing:
Learn how to create powerful and efficient throws from any position. Campers will be taught how to properly move their body along with their arm in order to make fast, accurate throws across the field. Sessions will consist of movement assessments and drill work to pinpoint what each athlete needs, as well as arm care and velocity training. Progress will be tracked with slow motion cameras and radar guns.

Defense:
Coaches will provide position specific instruction on either infield, outfield, pitching or catching.

Location: Duke Softball Stadium
