Coach Piper Ritter is one of the most decorated Gopher hurlers to have ever worn maroon and gold. As a coach, Ritter is considered one of the most accomplished pitching coaches nationally. Under Ritter's tutelage the Gopher pitching staff produced yet another All-American. Ritter has mentored 3 All-Americans, 4 First Team All-Region Pitchers, 2 Big 10 Freshman Pitchers of the year, and one Big 10 Pitcher of the Year.
